We want to thank you for your patience, flexibility, understanding and business in 2020!
Holiday Greetings From AccounTax of Oregon, Inc.
Look for your Tax Organizer and Engagement Letter Email coming in January Watch for an email coming in January with your 2020 Tax Organizer and 2021 Engagement Letter link to access your secure portal. Once inside, look in “Files From Preparer” for these documents. We rely on the information in your Tax Organizer to compare changes to prior year. Inside your portal, the Tax Organizer is a fill-in form that can be completed on a device or computer and is printable. We do not use email to exchange sensitive tax documents. We ask that all clients review and sign their Engagement Letter prior to starting your tax return. Return your Tax Organizer along with your signed Engagement Letter through your secure portal, mail, fax or drop off. For those without printers, contact our Admin Team and we will send your Engagement Letter via secure E-Sign. Upon receipt of your Tax Organizer and signed Engagement Letter we will take $20 off your invoice! First time users, be sure to save the link and password to access your portal. Contact our Admin Staff for assistance or to reset your password. Early Document Gathering, Cut-Off Dates, Late Preparation Fees Upon request, our Admin Staff can email you “What Documents Do I Need To Gather”, a checklist to help you gather and organize your tax documents. Prior to a tax filing deadline, returns are in many stages of final processing. A second review follows completion, document assembly for presentation, an appointment scheduled to review results and obtain your signatures. Clients who have submitted their documents in advance, will be in que for tax preparation. Clients with outstanding information who fall into the two week filing date window, may be subject to extension and late preparation fees. Please monitor your email and phone so we may finalize your return. If you are receiving a refund, our Admin Staff will contact you for check routing and account number for direct deposit that needs to be entered prior to your pick up or phone appointment. How We Successfully Conducted Safe Client Contact We conducted non-contact electronic document exchanges using our secure portals and have received positive responses from our clients in the ease of uploading/downloading documents without an office visit. The portals are perfect for clients outside the state and country. In 2020, we did many Covid-friendly car-side document drop-offs and tax presentations with scheduled appointments which also limited our in-office contact. But we missed you! Gearing up for 2020 For situations requiring an in-office visit, we have installed sneeze guards and we sanitize our offices after each use. It is necessary to make an appointment to enter the office, wear masks, and re-schedule if feeling sick. Prior to entering, we take a quick digital temperature scan. A $10 across the board increase to the 1040 price will take affect for 2020 to cover costs in preventing the spread of Covid. Business tax returns will see an increase in the base price for completed tax forms. Good News! You may be able to take a $300 charitable contribution deduction even if you do not itemize for 2020 tax year, this is pending confirmation. We will be out of the Office December 24- January 3rd. You may leave a voice message and we will return calls the week of January 4th. 503-619-1040. We are looking forward to serving you and hopefully seeing you soon! We wish you a very Happy Holiday, Joy, Health, Peace and we Hope for a Happy New Year! Sincerely, Your AccounTax of Oregon Team Annette, Dan, Sherry, Bill, Maxine and Oscar 8050 SW Pfaffle St. Suite 110, Tigard, Or 97223 www.accountaxoforegon.com |
